Interesting. Not only the chain to the tranny, but there is a torque converter coming off the engine. Would be an interesting ride with the variable speed.

Anyone ever seen a chain drive GT before?


The Panzers were chain driven to the rear axle.

Anyone ever seen a chain drive GT before?


The old Gibson tractors had a chain/belt drive. They had belts off the engine with an idler that acted as the clutch, then chains from the driven pulley on the belts to the transmission, which was typically a 30's vintage Chevy or Chrysler product.

Thanks for bring this back up... I didn't see it back in the summer. Very interesting tractor and makes me want to build my own that much more!! I'm not a big fan of the complexe drive system but it looks like they used what they could get their hands on to get it done.

10 hp onan twin? I have never seen one,, you learn something new every day, but if you skip a day or two it really adds up
