Recently replaced the mower drive belt on my 1976 Ford LGT 165 (open sided).
When doing so, I noticed that the mule drive pulley on the left side of the tractor was larger than the one on the right. Is this correct or a PO modification? The right pulley is VERY close to the front axle, but not hitting. The left pulley is no where near the axle.
Also, when the belt is properly adjusted, should the idler pulleys be in line with each other, when viewed from the side of the tractor?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
GEL

I have 3 mule drives...one of them is like that. I figured that someone replaced one of the pulleys, but maybe not. I guess in a prefect world the pulleys would be even, but I think that its more important that the spring is about at half way, so it puts pressure on the belt.

I think mine has one pulley that is larger. But it would be the weekend before I could check it.
