i have an allis 916 with kohler k341 an when its warmed up under load it wants to spit and sputter and lose power and sometimes it will stall and other times it will run strong any ideas would be a great help

My quick guess is that the heat from the engine is affecting the performance of the ignition coil.

Possibly a loose or faulty condensor?

I'll add points to the list to complete the ignition system. I've seen a bad set of points cause some strange problems in my K321.

yeah thats kind what i was thinkin got a coil on the way let you know what happens ill probally just tune the whole thing up

If the ignition parts don't help you might want to check the valve clearances.

Forgot that valves set too tight would cause problems like that when the engine hot , thanks broken2 , Al

Slipped my mind too. Yep, that's happened with me also when getting warm. The valves will be ever so slightly open & drops off the compression.

Could be there's junk in the carburator if it runs fine sometimes and stalls other times like you said.
