Update:

I got the pulley off without breaking anything! :dancingbanana:

I put the puller on and just tightened it hand tight, then I took the air hammer and gave it a few whacks and it slid right off. I think letting the penetrating oil soak a few days did the trick.

way to go doc knowledge and prayer winner everytime think about it . (in Christ) looking for His return

Brian, am excited to see progress pics. This looks like a fun little machine, and sounds like a labor of love.

Here's a couple quick pictures I took
I also had one of the decks for my Estate Keeper blasted as well.

The body of the green brier was coated in a zinc primer so the spots can be welded / repaired easier.

Doc., It is coming along nicely, how are going to fix the rust spots? It is going to be a real looker when you get done, you always do nice work.

I managed to find about 70% of the stuff I was looking for, I still have to order a couple parts from you. Do you still have that partial Decal set for the EK deck?

I'm going to reinforce the inside walls with some thin sheet metal (Not much room to work with when you have the blade rotating underneath LOL)
Then the outsides will get a good dose of body filler and then it needs to get sanded down until it gets perfectly smooth.

Yesterday I finally got some paint custom made :D

I guess the NOS can of Bolens paint I got was for a different model as you can see the difference in color.
The NOS is on the left and the matched paint is on the right. It took a couple quarts to get the color right but if Its not exact It would be bothering me every time I look at it when its done.
I painted the right hand side of the piece of metal and I think that's the closest I'm going to be able to get it.
