Poor old Kentucky Bush Hog got kidnapped & took across state lines! :smilewink: Can't wait to hear & see her run! Remember...youtube!!!!

It was a North Carolina HD-12 in sheeps clothing.......it always wanted to go to warmer weather. Kentucky was just its first stop out of Michigan on its way to warmer weather. :smile1: I was just happened to be closer to the coast than you.

Thanks Chuck it was nice to meet you and your family is well. I have raised three girls and they are now out of the house......so when I say I was extremely impressed with your children and how they interacted with everyone, I say it from my own personal experience. You should be proud of them. You have done a great job raising them! I could have used you as a source a few years back on how to raise a child! :smilewink:

Not yet.....stripped out the sparkplug hole trying to get it out last night......went by the machine shop this evening to get them to put a helicoil in it tomorrow. Carb is cleaned up, gas tank is trashed. First gas tank on any of my bushhogs that was in bad shape....all the others looked almost new inside....will post a picture of the tank this evening and see if another GT has a tank that is close in size and shape to it.

Raining today so not much progress....wanted to drain the hydraulic oil....figuring it has been forever if ever done. Drained the oil out of the engine last night.....pulled the head.....alot of carbon build up.....but I think over all it looked pretty good.

Thanks George! I was not going to call you when I saw you were working on the software of the site.....shorter than I was thinking......

Got to start looking to see what I can find that is close to it. Anybody got any suggestions of another makes muffler that might match this one??

Well another evening down....still not running...but I have replaced the "hydraulic fluid" ( dextron III), cleaned the screen in the rear end differential, changed the oil, cleaned all the electrical connections (earlier to day I had no power.....turn the key nothing.....after cleaning all the contact areas in all the electrical connections .....we have spark!! Motor turns well.....still have not gotten the head back from being heliocoiled......turns out these old wisconsins need a 18mm kit and no one local had one.....had to take it to a shop 15 miles away to get it done....will call tomorrow am to hopefully get it back for the weekend. Found where the bent plow had its impact on the tractor....both rear attachment areas for the plow had been welded to the frame (normally they are bolted)....guess who ever did it decided it would not happen again....when I go to tear it down will clean all the up and put it back original. Will need to find a new tank that matches as close as I can to this one......anyone recongize another model GT with a comparable tank please let me know. Tank measurements are 12 1/2-13" long- 8 1/2" tall- and 5 1/2 inches wide. See pictures below to see what it looks like. Tank is attached to the frame with straps.

I don't know if the tanks would be the same size or not but I think the tank that was in my Cub 147 was kind of similar. Don't hold me to that though as I sold the Cub over a year ago and don't remember for sure.

She is alive! Drove her around the yard this evening. Need to adjust the neutral setting but this hydro is nice!
Got a little whine in the gears. Not sure what is going on there.... Hoping it is normal.
Had to stop to go out to eat with the family . Will start again in the morning.
