She has original paint, key, and original seat... Currently a non runner but turns over freely
If you have not seen one of these HD-12's up close. It is a d4-10 on steroids/supersized.

Also has a few owners "options" on it as well. Those will have to go.

It was close to Evansville where I picked it up so I headed up late Friday afternoon. Looking forward to walking the show today.

Nice tractor. It looks like the wheelbase is a lot longer than the smaller Hogs.

Congratulations. I like things in original condition. It's even nicer when they are in great original condition.

While Scott was down in the lower 40 with Bob Simmons (an AVID Bush Hog collector), I could have easily loaded up the HD-12 & hauled out of there, but the thing is so big I couldn't get both his & my D4-10 on my small trailer! :smilewink: I got such a kick out of Scott & the intense excitement he had over his new HD-12, and a while after I realized it, I got tickled again when I realized he & I are just alike when we find a new Hog! :rofl2:

Here are some pictures of the HD-12. The throttle lever on the dash is correct. George confirmed his was set up the same way. The acorn nut on the steering wheel is correct. We all agreed the seat covers looked to be original. One picture is a pull out tool box under the seat. I have the carb off and about to get it clean.....drain the oil......get a new plug.....new fuel......and hold my breath that she starts!!

It has the original key, light switch worked, throttle and choke cables were not stuck. Surely she has been inside most if not all her life.....

Last picture is the previous owners improvement.....had under the floorboard lights on both sides. Yes I will remove them.

I am glad I had both Daniel and George around to see it....without their knowledge it would have taken a while to figure out what was original and what was not......these guys know their stuff when it comes to these bush hogs.

Meeting Bob Simmons was a treat! He has tons of literature....and several bushhogs restored looking good.

Guys.....I should have put Brian (Texas Deere and Horse) in the mix with George and Daniel.......he is not a bush hog man, but he knows plenty about these garden tractors. Had the good fortune to sit by him at dinner and he might give wikipedia a run for its money!! He is another "go to guy" on these GT's. Thanks Brian for sharing your knowledge with me this past weekend!
