I purchased an older Wheel Horse tractor from and on-line auction. I placed the bid because I need the engine and ended up with some implements that I do not need. One of them is a sickle mower that appears to be complete. I will be picking things up the first of next week so I can't be more specific at this time.
Not having any use for the sickle mower I'm wondering if any of you could give me some advise as to what these are worth. I'd really like to hear from you if you have any idea.
Thanks for your help.
This is a photo of the actual mower.

Idea from newb is betwixt 150 & 5, soley based on cruising ads in my area, there seems to be IMO, none too many floating around week to week. Good luck and hear from the more informed

Depending on which mower they are and what kind of condition the vary from $250 - $400 if complete & working.

I have never priced them as I have never seen one for sale locally. That one appears to be badged "Wheel Horse" and also seems to be in great original shape. Those factors will weigh heavily into the pricing and if you find the right buyer I'm sure it will fetch a good price! Congrats on the purchase!

We have never seen one of those, either. Better try and get it. That is nice!

Thanks guys. That gives me some idea anyway. It is mine as I have already paid for it. Just a matter of picking it up Friday. I'm not sure what the model of the tractor is but it is12hp and a hydro. Someone painted it blue and put a boat seat on it. :mad2:
Otherwise it appears to be in decent shape. Does run and drive so that is a plus. I'll take photos when I get it home.

It does appear to be in decent condition, but unless the rest of it is still attached to the tractor, it's incomplete.
Price is dependant on how bad someone wants it and if their bank account can back them up.

I have an SMS-425, use it on a regular basis, and wouldn't even consider selling it.

it's incomplete.

Can you tell me what you think is missing? Hopefully the rest of it is on the skid with some other things.
Thanks

The entire front mounting bracket / jackshaft / belt tensioner assembly is not in the picture. Hopefully you do have it.

Here's an IPL at PartsTree: L
