Ok folks, I'm 99.3% complete with my restoration of grandad's 5751 and I need an exhaust pipe. I got stock briggs muffler approriate for the engine size to run it but it doesn't line up with the hole in the hood. Does anyone know where to find the S shaped exhaust pipe that gets the muffler around the carb and pointed at that hole? Even an easy way to fab one would be ok but I have to do something cause I don't want to get the exhaust gasses all over my brand new paint.

There was a post on here a while ago about someone making aftermarket mufflers with the "S" in the pipe. Can't Find it right now, but hopefully the OP will chime in.

Well i posted it but cant find it either, funny how stuff gets away.

The man to contact for the muffler is
Doug Weingart
bridgman MI (616) 465 9978

He makes a few repo db things just for other collectors, not as a business.

Wait, I did already about a month ago and never got a call back. I just forgot about it. The area code is 269 though not 616. I'll give him another try.

ya they seem to change area codes, as fast as beer goes flat on a hot day. Try him again, its not like he's running a business probally at work. If nothing else he might be at the TOTFS show end of the month at Kankakee IL, home of the Bradley tractors.
