The Honda powering my MF 10 has developed a problem. The needle in the carb isn't sealing anymore and fuel is overflowing the bowl. Simple enough fix right? New needle and seat, good to go. Not! Seems the seat is a non serviceable plastic part pressed into the carb. Has anyone found a workaround for this? I'm thinking there must be a brass seat and compatible needle out there somewhere. Making a seat from scratch is too fiddly for my equipment but I'd have a go at turning an oversize one down to fit. There must be a fix. Anyone?

Thanks, Greg

Perhaps not exactly the answer you are looking for, but my local Agrisupply carries spares like carbs and such for their Honda clone engines. Around $25 perhaps? You could take a look and see if something like that would work.

I do not like those pressed in seats. Honda is not the only one have done that and it makes me mad. Just installing a new needle just doesn't get the job done sometimes. Hope you find a solution.
