Not a bad buy for $20!

Its either a 68' or 69' and should have a Lauson 6HP engine

Here's a parts list to help you identify what is missing http://gardentractor...-915-1968-1970/

To be honest I have no Idea what carbs they used.
If you can get a closer pic of the engine and carb someone may be able to ID it.

There's a color brochure for the 915 LK at:

http://gardentractor...eeper-brochure/

Is the carb missing, or do you need parts for it? .....Lauson/Tecumseh had some of their own carbs, but also used Walbro & Tillotson carbs.

Your best bet is to check ebay. Parts do come up from time to time
You may even want to consider looking for another one to use as parts if you plan to restore that one.

I just learned that my engine that I have had to replace was NOT original. It was a 3.5 Briggs & Stratton. I have a 6.5 Briggs intek going on it as soon as my new step pully arrives this week.

Glad to hear you found what you were looking for!
Seems like the hardest things to find in a restoration are Grips, knobs and the rubber pads. Since these never really broke or worn out when these were being sold most dealers probably didnt stock these items and if they did they probably only carried 1 at a time since they werent fast moving parts.

Have you tried Ray's Mower Shop in Boyertown, PA? .....They were Bolens dealers for a long time, and sell new & used Bolens parts.

At one time they had a huge "junkyard", but i think most of that was cleaned up.

Have you found the Bolens and Tecumseh Model numbers yet for the LK and the engine?
