Hey fellas. I know nothing about Bush Hog GT's. Found these 2 locally today and trying to buy them.
Right now I have offered the owner $100 for the pair through his neighbor. Currently the neighbor has them. He told me "that probably won't get them bought"
Any help would be appreciated.

One I think is a D4-7? The other no idea???

The V4-7 is missing all the pto apparatus, but otherwise looks complete. The other looks to be a D4-10, and the pic doesn't show enough to see if all is there or not. If engines are stuck, I'd offer $125 each. If engines turn freely and transaxles aren't stuck, I think they'd be worth $150 each. Just my opinion, and other opinions may vary a lot.

Actually, they would be worth at least $100 just as parts donors. You just don't trip over these tractors that often.

I am with Daniel. One thing that can be a big issue with the D4-10 and D4-7 (I have not looked at the V4 sheets to know about them)...is the cluster gear in the transaxle.....you can take the white floor cover off and unbolt the 4 bolts on the shifter....then pull the gear cover off.....the first thing on top is the gear cluster.....if it is ground up.....you know it could be issue finding a good one to repair it.....that being said if the V4 has the same transaxle.....good chance one has a good cluster gear...... if you push the mower and the rear is 'catching'....then could be a pinion gear/differential gear is damaged.....I have seen this in 2 of mine........not sure if this is easy to replace or not....so far I have had not had to go that route. $125-$150 is a fair price.......I can see the front pto clutch handle so good chance it is there.... if it is that is a plus. Good luck! If you decide to get it....we want more pictures!!

Sorry I was typing when the other post were made......I recently paid $125 for a non running T63 that looked pretty rough......ended up having a motor than actually runs, good rear end, bush hog grill emblem, has the front pto clutch, and misc parts I needed for my other T63.....some of the other parts were so rusted out I just threw them away......I would not have paid much if any more for it....but it ended up being a decent deal for the parts I am able to use off of it.....I have bought the same condition Gt of other makes and paid $75 or so dollars.....the bush hogs are going to cost a little more due to them being pretty rare....

Ok I don't know a thing about Bush Hogs. But after doing some buying and selling of these old lawn tractors, I can tell you just by looking at the "pieces" (tires, rims, frame, engines) there is at least $200 sitting in each of those. That may be a little generous depending on the engines.

After looking at quite a few Bush Hog's, I notice the lettering on this V-4-7 is different than everything I have seen...
Is that anything significant?

Just lettering someone has stuck on it. The original stencil lettering has been painted over. It looks like I can see some of the yellow lettering showing through. It's been painted a couple times I'd guess, as I also see some blue showing, and there was no blue paint on any Bush Hog tractor.

Look at the pic close...you can see the original trademark symbol "R" between the "Bush' and the "Hog".

Well looks like I cannot get them bought. Seems the gentleman is attached to them more than I have wallet.
