I went into TSC yesterday, and saw clearance signs on all the Tractor, Restoration, etc paints. They are not going to carry Valspar paints anymore, and are switching to a company named "Magic" paints.

Currently, there is a 25% off on all in stock paints at our local branch.

Just a heads up.

Boy does that suck lol!!! I have painted so many things using that paint!!

Maybe the Magic paint will just appear on the parts you want painted??? :laughingteeth:

Knowing my luck it will disappear soon after I paint the parts. :mecry:

I'm wondering if the Magic will be how light it can make your wallet? No pricing yet, and no list of the colors they are going to carry

Now a days it just seems every time I finally find a product that works great, they stop caring it. :(

Allen is it all TSC locations or just your branch store? Our local NAPA just started carrying a line of paint called Omni Pak. It is automotive grade paint injected into a spray can and the hardener is already in there. They have some samples of the finished product and it is outstanding. The 682 is going to get that treatment when the time comes.

There was an end cap with the Magic Paint on it last weekend. There were only 3 colors at the time (JD Green, IH Red, and A/C Orange)and the price was$5 and some change.

One of my biggest peeve's! They always blame it on the supplier too. Makes you wonder what planet the suppliers live one.

Must be all TSC locations, I noticed all the paint was marked down 25% at our local store (25 miles from here). Think I'll pick up a gallon.

My guess is that the supplier of Magic paint has a bigger Yacht than the supplier of Valspar <_<

I just got back from TS, I bought a ton of Valspar. It is 25% off today and tomorrow there is an additional 10% off, So 35% off the regular price.

It will prob be even cheaper next week. ( if any is left)

And yes they are doing away with it at all TS chains.

Did me the same. Got the last hardener, a gallon of green, gallon of primer, gallon of red, some reducer, and misc. Manager didn't know much about it here in MN. Wish there was one closer than 40 miles so I could check it out in the next few days.

BTW - is the regular Valspar hardener the same as the restoration series? What is the quality difference between the regular Valspar and the restoration series paint? Anyone used both and see any difference?

How does the $5 compare to Valspar now?

If you mean for price, after 25% plus an extra 10% off today, a spray can of restoration series was $6.04. I was able to to back to TSC and have them give me a price adjustment to add the additional 10% off for today's clearance sale. They didn't seem to happy to do it and it took a few minutes but worth the savings as I was stocking up the other day.
