I mix both Seafoam and Sta-Bil in every can of gas I buy, whether it is going to be used in 2 stroke or four stroke small engines. I have done this for several years with no issues. Since I started using this mix, I have had no starting or carb issues in any of my small engines. I started using this mix because I got tired of rebuilding my carbs. on anything that sat for more then a couple months.

You should be able to use either in a small engine. The combustion process is the same in both large and small engines. I would not be afraid to try it using the directions on the can as a guide.
I would also agree with those that have recommended removing the head for a thorough cleaning. The spritz bottle and water was also a good suggestion and should be considered. Water injection has been around since before WWII. Just be aware that the engine needs to be at normal operating temps and a little water at a time goes a long way.
Good luck,

If you follow the manufacturers directions you should be risking nothing. If you dilute it too much you will probably not be happy with the result as enough of the product will not be passing through the engine to do it's job correctly. These products are not known for causing any harm when used in the ratios that are recommended. As stated earlier, some people administer these product in such large quantities as to smoke up the whole neighborhood and no harm is done.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out and when the pieces quit falling.

Just kidding :smilewink:
