I finally got fed up with overpaying for nonexistent or unreliable service & held my DSL provider's feet to the fire. They have been having many, many issues over the last 2 years, but it has been getting more frequent lately.

Almost wonder why I didn't tell them off sooner, my bill will go down to $18 for the first 6 months and $40 after that. In 6 months, I will be paying less than half of what I was before.

So, if I am a whole lot late replying to stuff, I will apologize in advance.

See ya'll when I get back on.

Alan, I'm confused. Did you switch providers or is your current provider giving you a break on the bill? In either case hurry back because we will miss you.

Good luck Alan, I'm in a similar situation. I keep threatening, I just haven't gotten off the pot and done anything about it yet.

Hurry back Alan. Hope you get things sorted out. I switched from satellite when they wanted $250 to replace the old power converter for the modem when it burned out. Get my broadband signal from a tower about a mile away that I can see from the house and it's $23 a month cheaper.

I can relate....had about 2 years where my service was spotty....finally cox was bought out by suddenlink......guys came out and fixed a section that was old and not performing......upped the size of the cable coming into my house.....and the drop signals and no service went to almost zero.....hope this change works for you as well and mine did for me!
