Anybody know anything about these carts?

Brinly Cart - 3.jpg

The man who has the one below says it was originally a "Radio Flyer";

This is the picture I have of a Radio Flyer, made just like a JD #30;

I have one coming & would like to restore it to original if I can find the right info! ~~ Lowell

I think that the Massey executives had something like that available. I think Will posted an advertisement or something with it? I could be wrong.

Those are pretty nice carts. I've never seen one up here. That gives me an idea to build one out of a spare wheelbarrow I have!

A JD #30 has hard rubber tires underneath the tub.

I was able to get one from a seller on another site:

Radio Cart.jpg

It came today via Fed Ex, dismantled. It has had a rough plate welded to the tongue for reinforcement which will need to come off. Then clean & paint, I'll go with "Old Cat Yellow" as it looks to be a good color match. Gtractor has one & says his shows a faint "Radio" on it, don't know if it has anything to do with "Radio Flyer" or not. I'm still looking for more info on it.

Will fit my 70 I just fine! ~~ Lowell

I knew Massey had one early on, but I guess I didn't realize so many different ones were out there. I'm sure I've walked past a few at flea mkts, not knowing what they were.

I did some sandblasting today, there was a 3" x 5" decal inside the cart: "Model 39" "Dumping Trailer" & inside an oval; "RADIO". There were other things printed, including a "5", possibly 150 lb. capacity, not sure. The rest was too scratched up & painted over to read.

The tongue is made from two 1/8 x 1-1/2" straps & two braces. I'm replacing the main straps with 3/16 x 1-1/2" for more strength.

Closed paint I could find locally was Van Sickle "New Cat Yellow" in spray cans, so that's what it will get. ~~ Lowell

Filled, sanded & painted the frame parts, wheels & outside of the tub today;

Still have to paint the outside of the tub & remount the tires, then re-assemble.

The paint looks great. Lowell, is there any chance we could get a picture of the assembled frame before you put the tub back on. It's kind of hard to see how it all goes together when the tub is on.

That will be real nice when you get it back together. I'd like to see pics of just the frame, also. Thanks, Lowell!

Maynard, we have 3 wheelbarrows one of which is a 2 wheeled one. I don't like the 2 wheeled type myself so I'm going to convert it into one of these carts. It will make a good welding project for me as well.
