We added this little gem to the fleet over the weekend. It's a restored Farmall 340 Diesel. Not a version you often see too many of.

Chad nice piece of machinery you picked up. Diesel at that. I have always liked that style of IH's. Spent a lot of seat time on a 460 with a TA. It was nice seeing you at Danville this year. Already looking forward to next year.

Color Me Green with Envy!! That Style International has always been one of the best looking tractors in my opinion.
Be it 240,340,460 & 560 I like them all. And would love to have one on my acreage.
The 460 & 560 are bigger than I need on 9 acres but at the right price I would buy one?
They still are quite commonly are in use in my area.

Really nice looking Farmall. Are you going to work it? We still see a lot of that style up this way as well.

We are going to parade it and use it for tractor rides but other than that it will see little use. It's got a fast hitch on it and we may buy a three bottom fast hitch plow for it and maybe (but a BIG maybe) attend a big tractor plowday with it. Plow will more than likely be for show as well.

Thanks guys, I have always been a big fan of that style IH as well. This one is actually dads new tractor. It's a 1962 model. I have the big brother version of it though a 1960 Farmall 560 Diesel. Both are tricycle fronts with fast hitch. Mines not restored as yet, but it is one that will be getting it one of these days. It does run though and I use it around the farm for stuff.

I was told the 460's and 560's had trouble with the transmissions . How much truth is there in that? I would really like a 460 or a 560 but i was told they were bad tractors to own.
