Well, I have been complaining for years about not ever being that guy who gets lucky about stuff. Well, today I looked across the street and my neighbor has all kinds of stuff piled up by the road. So, my four year old and I go over and he has a kids wagon, a mini propane grill, a busted up wheelbarrow and a weedeater riding mower with bagger. Best part? All free...I was harded pressed not to take it all but I drove the rider home and my boy snagged the wagon. He pulled it home with his chest puffed out, boy after my own heart...So, now I feel a little better. I don't know much about it yet (I will update) but he said it leaks oil and a tire or two leaks. You be the judge but I think it was a pretty good deal! :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

HAHA! I knew someone would ask...I figured when I took some pics of the oil leak and asked questions about it, I would get one or two of the wagon. It is a pretty standard plastic wagon, a little rough. I am just thinking about how I can put some big, off-road tires on it and pull it through the woods with the boys in it.

Great find on the stuff! I don't know that your new mower will ever be a collectors item, but it'll likely mow grass pretty well! The oil leak could be something simple and tires that leak are a fact of life around my place LOL. Congrats to your son as well for his new acquisition! but, :wewantpics: :wewantpics:

What a sweet deal for both of you! A tube will fix the tire(s) and maybe your oil leak is just a loose plate or cover. I've seen that all to often. Enjoy your new prize.

Deals like that are hard to come by. Like everyone else said, the oil leak may be minor. Congrats.

Good to hear you got a great deal. Hope the leak is something simple. Also congrats to your boy, you're starting him off on a road of fond memories and never having enough storage space. :)

This is the update on the tractor, at least so far. I let it sit all weekend and no oil seems to be leaking. So, I figure it must be totally out, check it and nope...full. Ok must need to run a while before it leaks...So I tooled around the yard a while and looked for leak, nothing. Maybe I can find it after I powerwash...nope. I think this is the magical tractor that fixes itself. Now, here is the whole story and question about the leak. He told me over the winter (while it sat) it lost all it's oil and like I say, now it seems fine. Could it be that during the cold months a seal or spot shrunk enough to open up and now that it is warmer expanded again? Anyone ever heard of something like that? Here are the before and after wash pics of the tractor. Thanks.dirtyeater.jpg dirtyeater2.jpg dirtyeater3.jpg dirtyeater4.jpg dirtyeater5.jpg dirtyeater6.jpg dirtyeater7.jpg

Nice find! I especially like the kind you don't even have to take the truck to pick up!.

check the oil seal around the oil dipstick/filler tube where it goes into the hole at the motor. Might be that this seal (might be just an o-ring) is loose or bad. sometimes that tube gets moved or is loose. or it might be that the crankshaft oil seal on the bottom of the motor is bad. A little more involved to fix, but it can be fixed. you will find it. just keep a watch for a leak. hope this helps.
