Just picked this up today. Price was right and I thought it was neat. Anyone know anything about the model or year? Number is 917-8371.

Pretty sure Chris nailed it. The little I know about these is that they also probably had a 6hp engine on them (but may have been all cast or cast sleeve because of the "Commercial" rating). And they were one of the few tractors from that era that had the Craftsman logo. Seems that the early Craftsman badged tractors were marketed as commercial or Heavy Duty units.

Thanks for the replies. They seem to be pretty uncommon. I picked it up for $45.00 so i figured what the heck. Guy says he may still have the engine and hes looking, and maybe a snowblower somewhere for it. Either way its a neat little project that won take up much space. My 112 needed a friend anyway.

Interesting info here. The Craftsman name is normally associated with newer tractors but it looks like it may have been the premium brand name at one time.
