I just got back from picking up a Brinly sleeve hitch plow. We didn't have a complete one at dad's place, so I have been looking on Craigslist.

I found this one almost a week ago. I called today and the man called back later. He is a trucker and was getting in later today. He said if it was still listed he had it. All the other plows I was just a little late on, or didn't get a call back. I drove there and got there just a bit after he got home. He was a nice guy. He loved his Cub Cadet 104 that he bought brand new. He still uses it. He said he bought the plow at an auction, but never got a sleeve hitch. We chatted a bit and I told him about the site. I gave him a card. I hope he checks the site out.

I think the plow is in good shape.

The pictures are from my Iphone. I didn't know it had a flash. I'm still learning it..

I took the plow out to dad's today. I put it on the E20 Elec Trak. I posted that in the GE forum.

I then put it on the Sears Super 12. That sleeve hitch was difficult to use.

After dinner, I put it on the 582. It did great on that sleeve hitch. The 582 was still having engine trouble, so I didn't take
any pics of the results.

I took most of the bolts off, never siezed them, greased the coulter wheel and played with the adjustments. It did great.

I know why you love plowing now. It is great to do something other than mow with these great machines.

They run anywhere from $100 to $150 most places. New they are around $300. If you look you can find them real cheap. I bought one for $50 back the hitch piece is missing and that cost another $50 to replace.

It's all in when and where you find one.

I found a nice Brinly 10" for $50.00. It was sitting on a trailer along the side of the road.

I picked up a decent Ohio Steel 10" as part of a 'package deal'. The package was a Bolens Large Frame Tiller (which was barely used), and the plow for $250.00. I pretty much count that plow as being free, as the tiller in the condition it was in, was easily worth $300.00+.

I'd really like a 12" plow to put on my 1886, and may look for a trade at the Wellington, OH show in late Sept.
