Here are a couple recent projects. I hope to be as good as my father and grandfather someday.

I made the horse for my daughter it is Oak, Walnut, and Purple Hart. Its about 24 inch tall, made for a doll.

My wife made the bags for the cornhole game, It is 1in oak plywood and1in solid oak around the base. Next time I would use half inch oak, they are heavy!

Nice work! Those game boards with the colour coded bags and emblems are very nice. Lots of different colour tractors here. I like the way you've used the different wood species to provide the accents on the horse!

I have nothing but respect for the gifted folks out there who can work with wood in any capacity! Me and wood simply do not get along. I admire the skill and experience that you have gained and those are some very fine pieces. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Well my grandfather was a wood shaper and turner. He made some ducks that are amazing. Where I really lag behind my father is his skill of doing it right the first time. I use a lot of sandpaper to correct my mistakes. I also don't have much skill at designing things in my head. If I have the plans in front of me I can do pretty well, but as far as custom things go I am way behind.

My father went to school to be a Vocational Ag teacher and taught at the High school and college level for a few years, plus he was a farm kid and had to do alot of stuff by himself growing up.

Anyways I have fun, And I have plenty of years to become good, its nice right now to have my dad around to make so much stuff for me and the kids while he is still able.
