I got a lgt 145 for free off craigslist about 3 months ago it was in pieces. But the guy was giving it away and ya know I didn't think anything but a garden tractor. So I went and picked it up. Well guess what it was in pieces alright! But its free so I put it together and that thing is a BEAST! I also got and extra transmission and rearend and two decks. I believe one is 60" but I'm not sure. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So now that I got this tractor just handed to me I want to do more with it but new to this kind of thing. I want to put a pto shaft on the rear and I also want hydro lift for it but don't know what valves,pump,and pistons to get nor how to run them. I seen some forums on here and I like some set ups so if ya can help please do thanks. HAPPY PLAYING!

Welcome to GTTalk. Have a look at the Ford forum and go through some of the older topics. There are also manuals in the manuals section for the Ford tractors. The best way to get info would be to pick one area of your tractor such as the PTO for instance and ask your questions in the Ford forum. There are some experts here who should be able to help you out. Thanks for joining!

Welcome to the forum! First of all, which Ford is this? Open side or closed side like mine? Is there a # like 09jc33XX on it? Some pics would help clear this all up. Help with those can be found here;

If by chance no pics are available, post a pic of one similar. That will help us figure out what you need for parts. There are several folks on here who can help, but we need to know which LGT 145 this is.

The 1450's and up have a hydr lift and the ones below have a manual stick lift. A 60" deck is pretty big for a 14hp. Mine came with a 42" deck then they go up to 50 and 54". I think the pto was a option on the 165's/1650's. I could be wrong but have yet to see one. regardless, that would be cool to have for a tractor this size. I think the Jakes/Fords are pretty interchangable as for as size to size (1450-1650). Have fun, these are pretty cool and rugged tractors. I bought mine from a guy on craigslist, worked out the bugs and never looked back!

The PTOs were available on all models of LGTs...I have a 10hp LGT100 with a tiller and also have a 125 with the PTO..it also has the 50" deck.........as far as I know, they came from the factory that way

I think there are at least 3 different shaft set ups for the tiller PTO.

There are three different setups on how the bearings and front end of the shaft/pulley are done. If I can get some pics of mine soon I will post them. But there are two different ones listed in the parts breakdowns and mine is different from those!

D I stand corrected! Thats why its good to listen to the guys on here as they are a wealth of knowledge. I know my Jake 1450 does not have one but wish it did. That would be cool to have for a tiller for my garden.
