folks- i have a 15.5 hp B & G 28N707 ohv that is driving me nuts!!! it had been starting very hard so i pulled the valve cover and adjusted the valves to .004 as per the book. still turned over hard so i did it again. same thing so i figured the gas was blowing by gasket and entering that chamber, so..... i pulled the head and replaced the main gasket. (the old gasket looked good to me though!!!) it still turned over hard, but started right up. i took it off the work stand and it hasn't started since. shows good spark, but i replaced plug anyways. no go. got it to back fire once, but that's it. it's driving me nuts. plug is clean, with a little gas on it. no oil.
when i pulled the little cover off that says OHV the last time it had some oil in there laying on the bottom. not a lot, but it was there.- any thoughts would be appreciated- dave in ohio
