I was looking at my speedex and thought "Why in the world would they put a lift bar right there?" Then I thought about it and it looks like an older WH lift lever. It gets in the way of your foot/leg, and the 'clutch' pedal as well as the lift for the drawbar. It just slides onto a bar that is welded across the frame, nothing holds it on. It does not have any rods or anything else to or from it. Is this something that was added by a previous owner? Or is it something that is supposed to be there? (In a previous thread we came to the conclusion that this is probably an M series tractor) The star gear was painted red after I got it, not original paint.

I think someone added that. Even the star gear doesn't seem to belong.

I bet someone wanted to have a separate lift handle for a front plow or something. That way they didn't have to remove what ever was attached to the back hitch while plowing.

I was kinda thinking it was for a front/mid mounted implement also. I dont know where they attached it to, it has no other things welded to the frame.

Either it was a work in progress. Or they took the rest off with the implement.
