I'm trying to sell a 1970 bolens lawn tractor with a universal pto output a 50' inch mowing deck and a trimming blade. I don't know much about it and was hoping I could have some help pricing it so I know how much money I should invest in it to fix it up.

I'll get pics up as soon as I can. But right now I'm trying to work on it to get up and running but an end price or an estimate would really help me know how much to spend fixing it up

It's very hard to estimate anything until we at least know the Model of the tractor......
Pictures would greatly help. Has it been modified?, Original engine ? All these factor into the value

I didn't know exactly what you guys needed to see so these are the pictures I took. The black attatchment is the 50' in Mowing deck (Has All 3 Blades But missing one Wheel) The Green Attatchment is the finishinh deck (complete) and then the tractor. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My personal opinion about a used garden tractor is that you shouldn't think about how much you are going to get out of it. More often than not, by the time you've bought it, spent money and time on parts to install, you may only break even, or lose a little. I'd buy a tractor I liked, fix it up and use it and not worry too much about how much money went into it.

I had a Bolens H14 with a tiller and no deck that ran great no problems that I gave $4oo for, I fixed the front end (only one bolt out of 4 were still in it) tuned up and changed oil and sold for $450.00. I owned it for about 6 months or so. Before I sold it I tilled my garden with it....Bolens makes an awesome tiller! Mine had a Tecumseh HH140 in it.

We payed 1,000$ for it a 69 model a nice tiller, disc and plow, 50' in mowing deck and finishing deck so the price for the tractor equals out to about 250$'s but the starter looks fantastic just needs a good battery

The tractor in the pics is at the earilest a 1973 the black deck is a 42 inch cut as they never had a 50 for the tube frames. The green deck is from a eariler year tractor like a 1050 from the 60's.

Judging by the decals It has got to be no earlier than 74'-75' as in 73' Bolens was still using the "Husky dog" decals.
As stated above, the black deck is a 42'' Deck not a 50''.
The green deck is a 38'' and appears to have a belt cover from an Estate Keeper Deck.
