Painted up chassis on my spdx 2031 last few days. Most is brush painted, spray in tight spots. Used Satin black, not sure I like. Gloss may have been nicer, but satin was what guys told me they used. Painted up 3pt hitch too, in red and silver. The tractor tin is out getting blasted, but will be same color as that drawbar in pix.

Just wondering if anyone ever reads my messages?? Seems like I'm only "talking" to myself on this forum. Let's here from fellas working on a sliding engine type clutch/tractor. Might look around for one of those this year.

It might seem like no one reads them but I'm sure lots do. I try to read all so that I may learn something new, although I do not get the time to respond to most and still read through them all both. I do like the black and red together, looks sharp.

:ditto: on the reading posts, and that's a very nice color scheme you have going.

I'll second the satin vs the gloss. Gloss may be prettier to start, but it will show the dirt faster than the satin.

That. Color combo looks pretty good! What red is that?

Im sure people read your posts, a lot of them are in the PK section and that part of the site is normally pretty slow.

Love the colour scheme. I've found satin is a good compromise between gloss which shows every inperfection and flat which just looks dull and scratches easily. It takes a while for brushed on paint to harden. A couple of weeks IME.

I used semi-gloss on the GTV frame. Seemed to have a bit more shine than satin. Thought it might clean easier later on.

Yeah! Should have read 2031 on topic. That red is CaseIH brand IH1250. I use it on all my red items for my MM's like wheels and grills and the implements will be same when painted. Dries real fast, stays on good, easy to work with.
