Just bought a MF12, no rear hangers for mowing deck. Would like to make my own if someone could tell me how long they are and distance between the holes in bracket. Also how long of belt from pto to deck and belt on deck. Would appreciate any help I could get.

:welcometogttalk: Welcome Rum!

I'll see what I can find for you. I just bought a MF 12 myself, the deck is apart and parts are in a box.

On the Belts, go to forums page, scroll down to the Massey/snapper page. There is a pinned thread in there with belt sizes.

Take a look around, there is a lot of great info on MF's on this site. http://gardentractor...ey-snapper-amf/

Good Luck!

Ok I found the brackets and took some measurements for you. good luck. The picture of the bolt is of the bottom hole, That takes the bushing that I wrote the size of in the scanned drawing mf 12 bracket.jpg PICT1226.JPG PICT1230.JPG The bolt is a 3/8-16 x 1.5".

Thank you I really appreciate the inormation. My son had said he would make me brackets if I found the proper measurements.

The end with the bushing and bolt, is that the end that mounts on the rear of the deck? Then does the other end hang from the frame hangers? Why two holes?

I have several MF 7s and 8s but since I bought the MF12 I've lost interest in those because I really like the 12. Last summer I tried to buy a MF10 at an auction. It had a tiller on it but was nor running. I probably could of got it cheap but someone who really wanted it because of the tiller and had more money than me kept bidding, I gave up at around $350.

Once again thank you.

Why two holes?

Adjustment, for when the belt stretches.
