does anybody have a manual for the briggs #142302, i have a T-70B I spoke with Jim from Dandy Sales (awsome guy very helpful) he told me the wire from behind the fly wheel goes to the box outside the carb. What does it go to? Also i have no spark or will that wire need to be connected to get spark.
any help or detailed pictures will be greatly appreciated.

That is more than likely your kill wire to stop the engine. if that wire is touching ground you will have no spark.
i'll have to see if I can find a picture for you. but make sure it is not grounded then try seeing if you have spark.
Good luck

Do you have any pictures of the carb area on your engine? if so that will help explain it also.

Ok i pulled the rectangular box (throttle linkage) off the carb. The wire from the points goes to the stud on the right side of the linkage cover cover (corect). Also inside the linkage cover when the throttle is pulled all the way back to operator the motor is killed, somehow the throttle grounds out on the switch inside the cover the two do not make contact on mine am i missing a piece or are they bent? Please help i wan to get this running.
The motor may have to go to a machine shop the threada for the muffler are stripped and the hole is somewhat oblonged.
i have some pictures but i cant get them off of my phone stupid technology, if you can help thank you i will have one of my scouts help me out wednesday witht the pictures.

I'd definitely consult that parts list for the linkages, but it will need to be right to control the carb.
However, if you take that wire away from ground, you should be able to start it just to get the motor running. Then ground it to shut off.
