Morning all, I have a K301 on a cub cadet 129. On the parts diagram it looks like it calls for 2 bearing plate gaskets. Has this been upgraded to only 1 now or does it still take 2? On diassembly, it looks like mine actually had three.

Thanks,

JKR

I forget the recommended crank end play, but you use as many as it takes to get the end play within spec. Usually it has taken 3, but they come in varying thicknesses to dial it in. You could use as many as 5, depending on the individual thicknesses of the shim gaskets. .............just checked the manual & end play is between .003" & .020". I now recall usually trying to set mine around .012".
