Just bought a H14 or 1456 Bolens. Can't wait to drive it but the throttle shaft in the carb is broke in half. Has a techumseh engine. Anyone have a carb , shaft laying around? I heard tell a kohler carb will fit this baby. I can't find a parts break down for a part # to help.
Sure seems like it will be a hoss of a mower though.

Congrats on the new bolens. I have a H16 that I have restored and so far I have been impressed. I live in Colorado and dident even need to lock the diff, in this past winter plowing snow. The largest storm was only about 18"of snow but the bolens handled it easally. You might check with some of the site sponsers for your cable. You will find them on the home page.

Check our manuals section as there should be a manual for your tecumseh.

nice WOW it has AG tires shouldn't be to hard to find a throttle shaft just make sure when you put the new throttle shaft in you put some RED loc-tight on the bolts for the butter fly i did some damage to my old hh140 after one of the bolts went thru the engine cheers

Great thought on the lock tight. Thats exactly what happen to this one before I bought it. Before I even cranked it over I fished the screw out of the plug hole with a magnet. Pretty well unrecognizable after the piston mashed it. Still has good compression so it should be ok.

Looks beefy, what's hiding behind it in the second pic? Any plans on a restore for this H14? (now having seen what you can do?)

Whats behind this bolens in that pic is a Rugg Carpet cut mower. I think this old bolens would be really neat to keep and use but no plans to keep. I have so many mowers and large tractors I can't keep everything. I would like to find a 63' 600 husky close to me. My great grandpa bought one new.

Nice looking tractor. I was looking at the pics and noticed the dealer tag on the hood. That is a good friend of mine that owned that dealership just down the road from me. He probly sold that thing new.
