I started a small engine service and repair shop in 1988 while I was on terminal leave prior to retiring from the Army. Since then I have worked in the trade or on golf courses as a Golf Course Equipment Manager.

I really figured I had seen just about every silly modification (for lack of a better term) possible until my youngest son brought his girl friends Snapper (clean thoughts folks) mower in with this shut off switch. I have seen similar cup holders before.

Anyone care to top it?

BTW I had to look at my camera to make sure it wasn't cracked after seeing the second photo.

Bill

Are you sure that's not to control the chiller for the custom pvc cupholder?

Wait a minute... Snapper mower and a fanatical owner. Their last name is not Gump, is it?

Well, They won't go thirsty while mowing with that! Looks like they can fit a 2 liter bottle in that cup holder :laughingteeth:

I had a lady tell me her always mowed in second gear, because if he went faster he would spill his beer.

I've see kill wires hanging out of switch holes & you just ground them out on the dash to shut down.
I like the purple primer on the holder... at least you could pick it out of a lineup if it ever gets stolen.

I guess someone had a 1$ switch and got it fixed using what they had. But geez!, they could have screwed it on straight at least!

Bill, that is great. You are right, at first that second photo looks a lot like a cracked lens or screen.

The switch actually from the battery to the starter solenoid. Probably a good thing the battery is shot since the switch is in the on position.

Thats a nice one Bill, and some good comments guys. I learned a long time ago doing service work on peoples homes that you just cant think how creative(thats my nice version) people could be until you actually see what they have done. Then all you can do is shake your head and chuckle (or back away very slowly :) )
