Got about 3/4 acre sweet corn in this weekend. I had to give it a try with the current weather forcasts
Thurday morning we started by sprayed an acre of ground up the road with Glyphosate using the Massey 1650 and trailer sprayer to burn down the weeds before plowing.
Then it was load up and head over to Lil Bros and fertilized with MF 7, work in fertilizer with Kubota 4200 and mounted 10 ft S Tine harrow. Then planted Friday with the Power King and new mounted JD 7000 planter. Sprayed it Sunday with Lumax preemerge with JD 316 and mounted sprayer.
Boy, does that JD 7000 planter do a fine job planting corn
Got 3/4 " of rain last night but no sun today to hold soil temps but it is suppose to warm up this week.
Next planting should be over here at my place. Worked it shallow yesterday afternoon and it is working up nice
Just bare ground right now but will get pics when we start seeing plants.
I will also get pics of my iron when we plant at my place.
