I can't believe the border guards let DH1 cross. Oh well, he's your's now, because I'm sure
our guards won't let him back in.
Going to the US was no problem.
Coming back they asked if I bought the tractor down there and told me that there not suppose to allow dirt or soil from the US into Canada Thought I was going to have to go back and wash it off, but he let me though and said next time make sure you clean the soil off the tractor.
Somebody told me that before to.

Reading through all these posts, it sure sounds like it was a huge success.
Congratulations Daniel and family.
I wish i could have made the trip with Doug. Hopefully, next year.
YOU are one of the reasons I want to have it earlier next year. That & warmer weather would be a huge plus. If I have it earlier, then I can get both!

I've actually heard it is worse when coming into the US with dirt. Something about the Canadian soil having nematodes???

I brought some down with me, there in your field now.
Oh great! Now the Canadian nematodes are gonna cross breed with the Kentucky regular todes!

I am so glad that you didn't have any more problems than that. I know we talked about the work issue at the border. I just want to also say Doug, what a great pleasure it was to meet you and know that you were willing to drive farther than my wife and me for Daniel's first plow day. (Which was without a doubt, a HUGE success)I also appreciate Will's good humored kidding about letting you back across the border. Having met him I know what a fun person he his. Maybe next year we can see both of you.Going to the US was no problem.

Also good to hear everyone made the trip out and back safe and sound. Should be a real door buster next year.

Just needs a carb & muffler & he even brought me a ring gear flywheel to make it like OE equipped. I should have a starter somewhere around here too. THANKS SO MUCH STEVE & RACHEL!

Thanks Dan. I will make every effort to get down there next fall, on whatever date you pick. Make it
work for you. As far as weather goes, we take what we get. Maybe Elf will be mobile by then.

DH1, glad you made it home with minimal problems as well. Grand and I had talked about the issues I've had crossing the boarders... key word not to use is "work"!!! You are not coming accross to "work" and you did no "work" while you were here.
Daniel, thanks again for the use and sale of the plow. I'll have her tuned in and ready to roll my next plow day... I wish I could have stayed longer and I hope that next year I can bring the ladies.

I told them I was going to a Garden Tractor show and that we run the tractors there.
