I am still fascinated by Dan's " Hogzilla " . More feetroom and seatroom for the older guys . I guess it is still incognito with no red paint . Got back about three hours ago and got told that my brother and sisters were not told I was out of town . ( AWOL ) . lol Big thanks to Dan and family . His father is quite engaging . Fred

I can't believe the border guards let DH1 cross. Oh well, he's your's now, because I'm sure
our guards won't let him back in. :smilewink:

Going to the US was no problem.
Coming back they asked if I bought the tractor down there and told me that there not suppose to allow dirt or soil from the US into Canada Thought I was going to have to go back and wash it off, but he let me though and said next time make sure you clean the soil off the tractor.

Somebody told me that before to.

Reading through all these posts, it sure sounds like it was a huge success.

Congratulations Daniel and family.
I wish i could have made the trip with Doug. Hopefully, next year.

YOU are one of the reasons I want to have it earlier next year. That & warmer weather would be a huge plus. If I have it earlier, then I can get both!

I've actually heard it is worse when coming into the US with dirt. Something about the Canadian soil having nematodes???

I am so glad that you didn't have any more problems than that. I know we talked about the work issue at the border. I just want to also say Doug, what a great pleasure it was to meet you and know that you were willing to drive farther than my wife and me for Daniel's first plow day. (Which was without a doubt, a HUGE success)I also appreciate Will's good humored kidding about letting you back across the border. Having met him I know what a fun person he his. Maybe next year we can see both of you.

Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. And thank you to all for posting the photos as it helps some of us to feel included.
Also good to hear everyone made the trip out and back safe and sound. Should be a real door buster next year.

I forgot to say a BIG thank you to Steve (Caseguy) for bringing a special gift for me. It's a Tecumseh HH60 to go on my Bush Hog V4-6! :dancingbanana:
Just needs a carb & muffler & he even brought me a ring gear flywheel to make it like OE equipped. I should have a starter somewhere around here too. THANKS SO MUCH STEVE & RACHEL!

Thanks Dan. I will make every effort to get down there next fall, on whatever date you pick. Make it
work for you. As far as weather goes, we take what we get. Maybe Elf will be mobile by then.

Grand, glad you made it home safe, thanks again for getting some video for me!

DH1, glad you made it home with minimal problems as well. Grand and I had talked about the issues I've had crossing the boarders... key word not to use is "work"!!! You are not coming accross to "work" and you did no "work" while you were here.

Daniel, thanks again for the use and sale of the plow. I'll have her tuned in and ready to roll my next plow day... I wish I could have stayed longer and I hope that next year I can bring the ladies.

I told them I was going to a Garden Tractor show and that we run the tractors there.

I just want to add what my wife is telling me she heard as she was standing around the fire ring. It is just like visiting Las Vegas, what happens there, stays there.(Except this is a GTTalk event and will be shared with our members) She says that the comments on the plow day were just fantastic. The folks coming to the fire rings to get warm, had only positive comments.Everybody was enjoying the opportunity to get a chance to plow, share stories with other folks, and just meet new people that share the same enthusiasm for our hobby.
