Been trying to get the last hay cutting in this week so pretty crazy around here, but I pulled the mule drive, hangers and deck off the 782 tonight after dark. Started gathering the sleeve hitch, plow, pins etc. Need to rake and bale the next two days and still need to firm up just who is doing chores this Sat. but we are planning to leave Fri night.
I'll post these in the for sale area also;
I have some 9.5 - 16 diamond turf style Bridgestone tires that I can bring for sale if anybody is interested, the tractor only has 749 hours now and these have been setting in the shop for the last two years. Also two NOS spin-on JD oil filters T19044 and AM116156

Daniel. Is that ground sandy, or is there some clay in it

Drew, I have an 8' swath or so on the lower side of the field to challenge you Bama guys with Friday afternoon. I know for a fact the smaller tractors can't plow it, so I need it turned before smaller tractors get to it. I can turn it with my JB diesel, and have done part of it. Wanna see what the JD's can do? It's where we drive the manure wagons to get to the back fields, and she's packed like rock. When I plow it, huge chunks that resemble permafrost roll over. Yep....you've been challenged! :smilewink:

I think the most important thing, the one thing that we can't control is the weather, yesterday the the forecast I got was 30% chance of rain and now they say 90% chance of rain.

http://www.theweathe...y0869/42748/zip

I personally think the weather man has a big dart board that he throws darts at and where it lands, that's what he says.
For current weather he just looks out the window.

Doug, something is screwy with that forecast page you posted. It reads as New Haven, which is not zip code 42748. Not far from Hodgenville, but that's Hodgenville's zip code.

I punched in the Zip code to try to get your areas weather forecast and that's what came up. ???

I know, and I tried it too. Even typed in Hodgenville, plus it's zip code, and it goes to "New Haven", which isn't correct. So it's forecast is wrong!......right? :smilewink:

I don't think the weatherman throws the darts. I think he has a chimpanzee do it for him!

Got some signs to help you guys in. The one on the right will be on the main highway (210), then 1/2 mile on my road, one pointing left will send you my way, with another left(center sign is double sided) pointing into the drive to the fields.

Signs look great :thumbs: I looked at the National Weather service for Hodgenville and it thinks most of the rain will be Friday night and clearing off on Sat by noon. Sounds good to me, hope it is no worse than that. Gonna test the plow tonight, load and leave on Friday night. :dancingbanana:
