Are you gonna answer that Dan. Lauber wants to know if yer gettin any.

Been bush hogging the plow day fields between milkings today. Got most of the 1st field finished when I lost the U-joint at the tractor. I had greased it when I started, but noticed it was getting sloppy. I have the yokes all cleaned up & ready for a new cross kit, which I'll have to pick up tomorrow. There was a lot of crab grass & weed regrowth after hogging it down the first time following silage chopping, so I want to get it all chopped up again asap so a lot of it will just disappear by plow day. I forgot to take my camera, but I'll get pics later this week. It will almost appear like sod ground, but should plow much easier than sod. Some of the ground where we shelled corn may be decent for plow day if needed. It's been bush hogged once, and I'll go over it again also.

I was afraid you'd go to K/G being it was closer. Glad you can come!

K/g is a lot closer but I want to come down to support your Plowday. I'll be bringing the LGT 165 back down to visit its old stomping grounds.

Have tractor, truck and trailer maintainence to do before then. Tractor needs oil, and rear diff fluid changed, along with a new battery, truck needs an oil change, and the trailer needs its bearings check out.

I'll be flying solo and will be leaving home early, and then driving back home after plowing.

I'm so ready. The little plowing I had to do in the garden wasn't enough to meet my need.

I had previously mentioned a registration fee, but I will just have a donation jar instead. No donation required, and if you do donate, it doesn't matter mow much or how little. We're here to plow! :dancingbanana:

Oh Boy, my hernia is acting up (been going on for a while) but I knew if I went in nothing would happen around the farm for 6 weeks healing. Well, the wife finally called the Dr on me...she is a little :mad2: "unless it strangulates the Dr can't see me before Nov 15th" Yowzer ! That means I am making plans for plow day "carefully" ...

Maybe I can find you a smooth spot in the field. :D Seriously though, does your seat have a good suspension spring? I know the deluxe spring ride in my JD430 I recently bought really rides smooth. My Kubota beats me up a bit when I mow in a hurry.

I got my bush hog U-joint in & finished chopping the residue in the fields. Should have enough acreage ready, but if we need more, I'll chop some more ground that day.

Elizabethtown Ky is the closest to I65 to me (20 miles) with a good selection of hotels. Campbellsville Ky is the closest town to me with good hotels to my southeast. (17 miles) I've never stayed at any area hotels to know the best deals & digs though.
  • caseguy said thank you
