Trent, nice pictures. It's like a different continent entirely over there. My wife's family are from the Burin peninsula.

Dave, the mushrooms look delicious. Or are they called morels.

No that is a pond we walked two and half miles into last week while at camp. It is called Deer Pond. It was a nice walk.

Hi Dave, Those are yellow morels. Some people call them whites. Others call them sponges, blonds or just plain 'shrooms.

Then you have another group that will see them as $$$$$. A local market here was selling them for $39.99 a pound this year.

This year wasn't to good a year for them. It was way warm in mid March which messed everything up. We were finding greys and some yellows

the 1st day of April. I have never found yellows that early in the 45+ years of huntin'. Normally we find the big yellows around the 4th week of

April to around the 15th of May. The big yellows usually mark the end of the season.

This was taken on our recent trip to St. John's, Newfoundland. It was our first time there and just loved the place. These pics were taken in a little place called Quidi Vidi, which is supposed to be the one of oldest villages in North America. Somewhere in this place is the oldest cottage in North America but I'm not sure which one it is. The night before we were there this ice burg floated into this little cove and broke apart. It was a sight I will remember.

Reminds me of Norway.

I wen tout this morning and took this pic. Not sure what happened, but this is what I got. It is foggy, but the camera usually does a much better job.

Only thing I can figure is the mist got on the lens.
