These are some really great photos! You guys have "the eye"! Not to hijack this thread, but to augment it, I'll put a link in here to one that was started back in July of 2010. Random Picture Thread There are some really great pictures in that one too, although I think that at least a couple of the shots are done by semi-professional photographers. Keep pushing the button and sharing your results!

Hi Steve, Thanks for bringing this to my attention. First of all I want to apologize to Gene. If I would have known of his Topic, I would have just tried to revitalize it instead of starting Amatuer Photos. In all honesty, I first did a site search for pictures, photos, photography and didn't come up with anything that would match what I was trying to start. It could be because I didn't use the exact "keywords" or that I possibly just overlooked it. I even went as far as contacting George and to ask him where I should place this topic.
Before I close I want to also say to all Members that, I would be the last one to step on anyones toes here. You'all accepted me with open arms into this "Family" and I value that immenesely and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize it. Thanks, David

Dave

That was a neighboring boat and dock at a place we rented several years ago in the Adirondacks. It was there everyday and it looked peaceful and very much like the Adirondacks to me.

I appreciate your kind words. In the next photo, I'll post my favorite Adirondack photograph that I've taken to date.

I hate to speak for others, but I don't think he would mind. He loves photography too and was encouraging folks to post the pics that they like...just like you're doing.

If I would have known of his Topic, I would have just tried to revitalize it instead of starting Amatuer Photos.

You have revitalized the topic! It's back in the "what's new" category!

Before I close I want to also say to all Members that, I would be the last one to step on anyones toes here.

I think we're an easy going bunch here and I don't believe that any toes were harmed in the making of this new topic!

We'd like to believe that, that's what separates us from other forums. We are always open to new members especially when they're down to earth folks like yourself!

Hi Dave, Beautiful picture you posted. Is that a lake or a river? Thats cool how you captured the fog rising off the water in the background.
I would guess that is a morning view?

Dave

It's an Adirondack lake. Upper Saranac Lake. It was an early morning. The day before I saw the same thing. The next day it was there again to photograph.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Wayne, I like shots like that. Thanks.

3rd photo in, the cliff side drive: I bet the views would be spectacular, but I know I would get the "willies" driving it. :rofl2:
