The chrome company called this morning and said they are shipping my parts. I can't wait to get this thing back together.

The seat came from Sandy Lake Imp and it looks fantastic. I will try and get part of it mounted today. Now just waiting for the chrome to show up on UPS.

Dan, that's looking great, and those seats are comfy, no doubt.

Hope your Crome gets there soon.

Dan,
I'm just curious, do the seat cushions already have the mounting bolts inserted, or do you need to drill them? I heard that company does a great job on the vinyl, and from what your pictures show, they really look nice.

They have mounting bolts in them. They did not line up with the metal brackets so I had to drill the holes over size to make them fit on the bottom cushion but the back cushion fit fine. The vinyl looks great , but white? Some how you always find grease when working around a GT, it had better not find those white seats.

The chrome came in today and it looks very nice. The only problem is they chromed parts that I did not want chromed. The steering and battery box only had a small part that sticks up for the steering column that should have been chromed and the lift shaft only needed the round part chromed. They chromed all of the parts. I made it very clear on those 2 items when I sent it in. I called them today and they said it was to much work to just chrome part of it. I have never had much luck with paint sticking to chrome but they said if I used self etching primer it would be ok. I bought some and did what they said. I hope it works because I used the very last of the paint and clear coat and it will cost over a $100 to get another quart if it doesn't stick. I thought about sand blasting it off but I figured the guy knows what he is talking about. We will see.

That seat makes me nervous, and I'm 375 miles away from it. What you're doing there is the definition of 'better than new'.

Seat looks good Dan. You decided to run the arm rest support across the entire back instead of splitting it huh? Good decision. The tractor is looking very sharp!

Well I got the dash in and some of the wiring done. I set the hood on to see what it would look like but have a lot of adjusting to do. I think I might just make the show if nothing goes wrong from here on out.
