I think 3/8 rod would work. All it needs is to encourage the tall stuff in one direction. You can cave the one on the parts sickle if you want.

I would love to build one of these... have plenty of electric fence rod. Did anyone ever come up with lengths?

Thanks!

Much appreciated. I have a few pictures from several angles but lengths between the angles would be good to know. I'll see if I can draw up something to make it easy to show the various lengths and you can pencil them in. Thank you Alc

Here's a picture, lengths would be ideal, radius would be nice. Easy way to figure out the radius would be to use a 5 gallon bucket lid which is somewhere around 12" to 14" diameter, which would be a 6-7" radius and compare it. Nothing exact needed, just some ideas.

Also, forgot to mark up the bracket off the front of the mower, that's pretty simple, how long are the 3 pieces between the angles?

Thank you VERY much. I cut tall grass a couple times a year and it can really get plugged up at times so hoping this will help if I can put this together.

That's a good picture ,I get a picture tomorrow ( a few tractors have to come out of the garage to get to it )  . I might have to use your picture to tweak mine .

Yes it is... I've been looking for this stuff online for 2-3 years now and try to save the best pictures when I find them.

It is NOT easy... collectors have died and their websites have gone dead... spent a very productive 4 hours on archive.org finding bradley stuff from links found here last night.

Of course it's not my Bradley. I have several more pictures that "go with" that picture to tweak but they're not quite right either.

I forgot to ask about the lengths of the rods not including the part that goes around the bolts and the total length of the rod from the bolt-bend to bolt-bend.

Looking again between the picture you posted I believe the section on the LH side the rear  section of the sickle bar is pretty much undamaged . I think I'll have to try to bend  front section on mine before trying to get any sizes . I'm not sure what your asking " the 3 pieces angle " are you just talking about that front support piece ?
