Thanks! You just made my day. I hope everyone enjoys following the project. One of our sponsors bobs lawn and garden has the pawl in stock. I ordered two new ones just the other day. Could be a worn out hub or like mine and it has a broken pawl. Honestly I didn't know what a pawl was until I posted a topic here lol

I have 90% of the tractor painted. Would have had it all had I not spilled an entire cup of mixed paint. It's starting to rain now and won't quit until tomorrow night. I hope to have it all together before heading out of town for a week. I think the paint looks good. The only thing left to paint is the front rims and the engine.

The yellow is a good match for a rattle can.

Looking good!

So are you as happy with the Green paint as I was?

Did you go through the tranny to get all the sludge out of the gear case? Mine was a mess with all old crusty grease in it. the Key was also sheared on the drive axle which I had to replace.

I'm very happy with the green paint. I compared it with the nos pulley I got for the snow caster and its perfect. I just got the pawls today so now I'm going to dive into the transmission. I am going to replace both pawls even though only one was shot. I opened it up when I first got it and everything was in good shape. It's full of sand now lol

I was able to find the inner drive hub and spring and ordered new pawls from bob. The old girl will finally be complete again. After doing a thorough cleaning of the transmission gear housing it's looking great. I'm at Disney world with my 5 year old daughter for a nice week of a daddy daughter vacation so the tractor will have to wait.

It's starting to come together. Still need to finish it up but here's an idea.
