I have been wanting to see if the motor would run on the cub. It did not take much to get her going. The po said it ran ok about 7 years ago. The carb looks pretty clean. I don't have a key for it, so I had to take a wire straight from the battery to the coil. The fuel bowl leaks a little (no surprise there). These old one lungers sound great, don't they?

She sounds a bit loud but it's running pretty good for sitting 7 years. Are you going to do a restoration?

I dunno. It looks kinda cool rat style! I gotta do some work on it. It only steers to the left and that's only when it feels like it. :bigrofl: Clutch is ok on it, and that is a good thing. It is missing a few cosmetics, like the IH badge on the front and the hood chrome. I am going to keep an eye out for a battery holder for it. And I hafta find a key!

You should be able to get a key at any CaseIH dealer for it. The keys in ALL the IH built cub cadets at least thru the quietlines and most IH farm tractors thru the 60 and 70s used the same key.
