It is a Simplicity SunRunner, I just saw one on youtube, heading was 1987 Simplicity sunrunner rear-wheel turn lawn tractor..

I believe the SunRunner series was built from 1986 thru '89. After that the SunRunner designation was dropped and they became the FC series. You could get the SunRunner with either a 36" or 42" mowing deck and either a flat bed that would tilt, with stake sides optional, or the tilt hopper like the one in the ad linked above.

Well, even though I'm heavy into Bolens...if my tractor fund wasn't approaching $0.00 I'd be MIGHTLY tempted to get it just for the "Coolness Factor" :smile1:

I know your pain. Even though it's not a Bolens that is one unique machine. If it runs like he says that is just a big plus. Thanks for the post.

The Duetz Allis version of the Simplicity SunRunner was Vanguard.
