I picked up this 48 inch 2 stage snowblower last night for $50.00 and going to convert it to fit one of my jd 455 diesels or the mini 4020. Another fun project . I got the rear cab window installed on the mini loader yesterday .

Don, are you ever going to finish that round fender 110? I'd like to see how it turns out when done.

Cutting out the cab windows and rebuilt the gearbox on the 48" 2 stage snowblower. Might have to build a cab on the mini 4020 next

I apolagize that my plans for that 5 bottom plow hasn't happened yet. But I am not giving up on that project. Had to get a cab on the mini loader done and now working on the 2 stage snowblower conversion for one of my jd 455 diesels this week. I also took apart the jd 49 in. 2 stage snowblower gearbox last week to see about fixing that. So I am keeping busy and i like being busy. I haven't even got the engine back in the jd 110 yet, ha,ha.

Finished mini loader cab , not too fancy but going to be great fun being out of the cold wind. No heat in it but if I decide to put a self powered snowblower on the front of it I will seal it up and plumb a heater in it. Still waiting for the right side mirror coming in tomorrow.

Thanks , here is a picture of my first drive with the $50.00 2 stage blower conversion. I built brackets for a lift cylinder today . Tomorrow I'll work on the design for the chute rotator parts. Early testing looks like it is going to work just fine.

Yes it is a Ariens and it is a well built old 2 stage snowblower . Not a dent in it anywhere , not even in the augers. Very nice old snowblower . JD wants $3,000.00 for a new 47in 2 stage and it is much lighter materials than this one. I'm very excited I picked this up for $50.00. Today I have it in the shop and will build the parts for a hydraulic chute rotator . Thinking about a electric actuator for the spout but not sure. This is my best buy this fall. :dancingbanana: I even got a manual with it !!

Here is a progress picture of the hydraulic motor I bought over 12 years ago and never used. It is now being used and works great to swivel the chute on my new/old snowblower. . Today I bought the jd 455 cab for $100.00. It needs work but I still think it is a good deal. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.

Here is a picture of my latest garden tractor purchase. It needs some work as it is missing the front windshield frame but everything else is intact . I got it for $100.00 so I feel good about that price. Should make snowblowing with the 455 a little more pleasant. I got to see today if he had a heater he will throw in the deal today.
