I could not stand staring at the rusty Wheelhorse after a week in my yard. I just decided to grab the nearest can of paint and the paint gun. I got the sander out and did a bunch of hand sanding on all the rust spots . I was surprised to see the paint in the gun was green. Everyone is going green so I said what the heck !! Now this will preserve it until I get back to working on it again this fall. I'm done buying garden tractors

I hate to say this, but you just committed a MAJOR No No by painting that Wheel Horse John Deere Green! LOL!! :bigrofl: :bigrofl: That poor tractor will not know what brand it is now!! I do however have to say that the fenders, exhaust, and tires look SWEET!!!!!

'Round here the phrase

I'm done buying Garden Tractors

Is always followed by "until the next one"

Don, great looking mods to the Horse. As for the color, it's your tractor... As for me, all the green ones would be Red, so to each his own.

Thanks ,
This is the most fun I have had in years puttering with these garden tractors. It is funny how we tend to like certain colors. Now I have a green Simplicity , a green Montgomery Wards and a green Wheelhorse :confuse:

How about painting one all rainbow colors ?? Would that be politically correct ? Not that there is anything wrong with that. Then everyone would be happy , ha,ha. Now that i am done buying garden tractors I am starting on a garden cart today to pull behind my mini 4020 . I just welded the spindles to the axle tube and mounted the hubs and 26-12-12 tires. These were the left over rear tires from the jd 430 I bought several weeks ago. After this I should be done forever buying gt's :mecry: or building wagons and carts ?

That's the PROBLEM !!! I don't want to do ANYTHING ELSE !! I was supposed to be building the big model and I haven't touched it this week. After I get this cart done I'm never going to look at another garden tractor and that should solve my lack of focusing on real life issues , LOLH
