bad weather.jpg

It seems like we are in for a bad weather season all together and probably more tornadoes, keep your eyes to the sky guys if your are in the affected areas. This is the first time I remember such an early forecasted warning, hopefully nothing happens but an extra measure of careful wont hurt!

Worst of it should be just west of us, hopefully!

We had planned to go to a big flea market in NE MO today, but not with this forecast. Not worth the risk! ~~ Lowell

This mornings storms went just North of Tulsa. Blew the fishing plans out. Oh well, I've got a 3-point to finish!

Tornadoes are one of my biggest fears. Adam told me to not watch the Weather channel so I don't freak out more.

I sure hope this becomes a non-event for all those in the affected area's. We have already had enough death and destruction this year.

Michelle I'm with you, they are my biggest fear as well.

I heard that Wichita got hit. My son and grandson are there. Luckily for them, the tornado was on the S.E. side. Spirit (formerly Boeing where I used to work) got hit pretty bad.

Lightning, rain, 60mph winds but nothing serious here. Most of the bad stuff has moved to the east of us now. I hope you all get through this OK.

By the looks at the weather map the biggest part happened while I was sleeping. Just high winds, up to 50 mph, expected today

I can hear some thunder off to the west now. Time to go sit on the front porch and watch the lightening show.

Bill

We ended up with pretty good wind yesterday (35+ gusts), very little rain. Mostly went west of us! ~~ Lowell

Glad to hear the bad weather missed you guy's. From what I have read it looks like the area around OK city didn't fair so well. You may want to keep those folks in your thoughts and prayers. Boy I hate tornado's !

Woodward, Ok. got the worst of it. 6 deaths there. I did check the pics at the Wichita(KS) Eagle site. The building I used to work in at Spirit (Boeing then) got part of the roof taken off. They were lucky it wasn't during normal working hours. A lot of people would have been in those buildings.
