Went ahead and cleaned this thread up a bit, Removed some broken links from a couple years ago.

Also took down a couple of the "Interchange" lists I uploaded as I have learned that these interchanges are often NOT correct for the Bolens sizes.

If you come across any oddball ones you need help with let me know, I can try and cross them with my interchange system and also now stock most of the Bolens belts.

You can find them on ebay if you type in the part numbers

Starter 1714690

Drive 1736259

PTO 1716570

O'Reilly's Auto Parts just quoted me the Gates # 6832 for the Bolens 1050 Starter Belt. FYI.

yeah, that's not right. they are just selling you the standard fractional HP belt that is not cogged.

I have the OEM spec ones instock if needed and probably cheaper than the gates price.

Gates price is $14 and I can be up and running today. The spec says it's good to 17 HP. I didn't realize the originals were cogged???

I checked my PTO belts on my bolens,, 1556... The belt reads ,,,     Dayco  L 443

                                                                                                                        48 X 430

I'm not a fan of Dayco BUT they seem new, and run good

Can  someone  Decode those #'s for me.?   .I like to chart what  all the belts and replaceable parts are in my folder for future  use..

                                                                                                                                Thanks          sodi

Just read this whole thread looking for the hydraulic pump belt for my 1000, just put a hydraulic setup on new 1000 and all it does is twist and flip off.
