Going thru old pictures found this pic of me and A.J. by his race car at EXPO. They used a polariod and he signed it but scanning the pic it didn't show up. My I was a fat boy back then!!! Enjoy

I bet there's not too many pictures like that around, whats really nice is you have the Bolens banner in the background

A.J.'s a really class act. Last saw him at my aunt's funeral. Even though he hadn't seen my mother in over 20 years he remembered her name and came over to say hello and offer his condolences. When my uncle passed he was out of state but sent the most beautiful flower arrangement that looked like the checkered flag. They used to race together and he drove for my uncle at one time.

Tinner, the more I read your post the more I recall that day, the line to tke a picture with AJ was long but he never left as he was an owner & spokesman. The hand shake...that is an item one don't forget, his was a very firm grip and a quick shake. I always made the comment that he was one tough man, had to be to race the old Indy style cars. It was a very cool day!
