Like most GT enthusiast I have a tractor graveyard and Saturday I started to organize it and put it into the woods were it cant be seen from the road. Amongst the tractors there are two trailers both have about a 6x10 foot deck and I moved one of them and the rotted out plywood deck dropped a few of the things off the trailer. (All small stuff) after moving the trailer I saw the steel of a tractor seat so I flipped it over and it was in perfect condition! There is no rust other then some on the rings that hold the cover down, the vinyl is flawless! The second I saw it I knew it was going on my '71.

This is the old seat, every time I got on it I could feel it cracking more and more.

This is the "new" seat. The old seat is very thick so it sits up very high and it feels less stable. This one is thinner so its easier to get on, and even though I'm 15, I'm still 5'11" so my left knee was always in the steering wheel, I don't have that problem with this one. It looks like a completely different tractor with this seat on it!

Thought I would share.

Thanks guys! I just looked, you can get the seat from TSC for $50.

Since I said it looked like another tractor with that seat, here's a pic of the entire tractor.

Right after finding that seat, I found a seat cover! The vinyl on it is perfect, the foam on the back has a hole about 2" in diameter from mice but its better then the cover that was on my '75!

This was the old cover I had.

Here is the "new" cover.

This is my newly organized mess. Lol. The York Rake and plow are the only things that have value to me. I wanted to leave the York Rake in a spot that I could hook up to it easy since I actually use it.

I dont know how wide the wheels are on it, I can measure them tomorrow, I have a bunch of 12 inch wheels, I dont know if any are 8.5 or not. My Dad probably got that thing before I was born. The funny thing is, before we got into GTs he used the little craftsman on the end of the line, that doesn't even have a sleeve hitch to use it! I dont have a tractor with a sleeve hitch and its to narrow for me to adapt for use on one of my Power Kings. PM me if your interested in it or wheels.

Good deal on the seat & seat cover! I have a seat like that one on my Unico 15. Very comfortable seats too!
