enthusiast I have a tractor graveyard and Saturday I started to organize it and put it into the woods were it cant be seen from the road. Amongst the tractors there are two trailers both have about a 6x10 foot deck and I moved one of them and the rotted out plywood deck dropped a few of the things off the trailer. (All small stuff) after moving the trailer I saw the steel of a tractor seat so I flipped it over and it was in perfect condition! There is no rust other then some on the rings that hold the cover down, the vinyl is flawless! The second I saw it I knew it was going on my '71.
This is the old seat, every time I got on it I could feel it cracking more and more.
This is the "new" seat. The old seat is very thick so it sits up very high and it feels less stable. This one is thinner so its easier to get on, and even though I'm 15, I'm still 5'11" so my left knee was always in the steering wheel, I don't have that problem with this one. It looks like a completely different tractor with this seat on it!
Thought I would share.
