I found a set of 26x12x12 AG tires new delivered for 165.00 and a set of 4.00-8 front AG tires for 40 bucks new. I cant wait to get them and get them on the tractor, I'll use my old ones to shore up some slow leakers until I can get the whole fleet reshoed

That's not a bad deal at all for the rear shoes. Did you find them from a private seller or an online store?

What tires did you get? I need that same size for my MF1855, but I want the Tru Power style Ags.

According to measurements given, they are proper size....not like many Deestone tires. Deestones are smaller than designated sizes. I've had some Nanco front tires & seem to be top notch! I'd say you'll be happy with them. Price is super! The closely spaced bars look just like my Goodyears on my 1655.

So you ordered these .... http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item483949c8e4
That is a great price. Post a pic of them when you get them mounted. I might have to reconsider the Tru powers?

Well, yes and know, I ordered the 23x10.50-12 for 119.00 after I ordered them on the bottom of the page it showed the 26x12-12 for 140.00, so I told the guy to cancel my order, when I went back to his page those bigger tires were 170.00, so I just reordered the 23x10.50's and after I ordered there were the 26x12's at the bottom of the page, again for 140.00, so I'll probably just ask Gene (he's a member here) if those 26x12 are still for 140.00 if they are, I'll buy a set of those too, I'll probably buy a set of those anyway

Since we've had all the snow and ice I have given several large garden tractors with various tire combinations a tryout.
On ice nothing beats lawn treads with chains. In snow the ATV tires are doing the best and the taller the tire is the better

I want to get a set of ag tires just because I like the looks of them. My chains on the turf tires do a pretty good job but I need weight. I am going to try to build a weight box of some sort here in the next week or two. I know it is a little late in the season to do it but just in case and I will have it for years to come.

I bought the set of 4 AGs to go on one tractor, others will get the tall 26x12 turf tire, around here chains are darn near as high as tires, what can you do on the front tires, I mean in snow and ice turf or ribbed tires do NOT steer at all, maybe fluid filled fronts would help, any ideas. Mike

I've got my eye on some 29x12.50/15's for my Massey 1010. My turfs are in super condition, but some of the areas I mow are steep & one time I slid like on ice all the way to the bottom. Only about 15' or so, but wasn't fun! Same thing happened with my JD F935 front mower, then I put 23x10.50/12 Ags on it & now she crawls anywhere! I may have to go for these. My money was tagged for paying extra on bills, but at full price these tires are over $200 each. $200 gets a pair of blems DELIVERED!
29x12.50-15 6 PLY POWER IMPLEMENT BLEMISHED TIRE - eBay (item 140385780925 end time Mar-02-10 07:23:02 PST)

BTW...anyone know how to save pics off ebay these days? I can't save them like I used to.:confuse:

I can't save picture either, drove me crazy on night, I thought I was going crazy. I got the 26 x 12-12's in along with the tri-ribs which are kind of misshapen from transit. You can see how much BIGGER the 26 x 12 are than the 23 x 10.50's, but the bars are a little thinner on the bigger tires. I may order another set of 26 x 12-12 in the trencher style with the bigger lugs, there 170.00, but I want them. I got two more 3 point kits in for the Ariens GT's as well as the missing lower arms for one of MF1650's. I'm going to order two sets of Kendra 500 Turf tires in 26 x 12-12 as well as sets of Kendra 16 x 6.50-8's. I may bite the bullet and buy a set of Vrendstein V61's. I found a manual stand up tire changer for 85 bucks, that will save a bundle, coming from a guy that's going to have well over a thousand bucks in tires alone by next week.
