No problem, Dan. It's a 1983. Is this a red frame or black frame model? This was the year when the garden tractor divison bowed to the newly acquired IH boys that came on board Case as part of that deal and the GT colour scheme changed to emulate the paint used on the IH tractors. It was quickly rectified at the end of the 1984 production year after Jack Ingersoll bought the OPE division from Case. As it happened, the early 83's were painted like the previous year with Power Red frames, axles etc and Power White Rims but later 83's got the black frame, axles etc with the white rims, a white seat and Power Red hood. Even the attachments went Power White for that period.

It's a late 83 model then, as it has the black frame/white rims. Thanks.

Yeppers. 1984 448's began with 1406 so Sonny's has to be a late 83.
