Feeling whimpy today.  Started out with both knees hurting, and stomach not right.  Better now, but no fire in me at all.  Milked this am, then got ready to work calves.  After lunch I used the MF1655D's FEL to clean manure away from the weaned calf feeders.  Got that done, then separated bigger heifers & put in the big field.  Tomorrow morning I have to dehorn 8 littler ones give vaccinations, then move them to the small field.

I'm rarely off my feed!  Sometimes it just isn't converted to energy!  :D

The older you get the more often that happens.

Yep, afraid I know that already.  Had an hour nap in my recliner.  Gotta go get the feeding done now.  Grandson Case has been running a fever today, so I'm not the only one here under the weather.  Speaking of weather....looks like the storms will roll north of me.

Sometimes those short naps are all that gets you through the day. Many times I have just pulled the truck over and kicked back for about 20 minutes to recharge. When I worked 3td shift I learned to program myself for 20 minute naps.

Went to feed and seen the bred heifers had come up.  Several are beginning to get close to calving time, so I shut the tractor off & rounded them into the corral.  Separated 10 getting close, and couldn't be a better time with our herd numbers so low.  Only a couple real close, but when they near the time, it's best to keep a close eye on them, plus ramp up their diet a bit.

Then from a distance, it looked like #247 (last cow to calve) was prolapsing her uterus.  Got lucky this time as it was just a big ball of afterbirth making it's way out.  My day is done!!!!!!!!!!!   :dancingbanana:   Sure hope I feel better tomorrow.

Me too, but storms heading in, so may as well stay up a bit longer.  Otherwise, I'd head to bed now.

Bad storms almost on us right now.  Looks wicked!  Tornado warning near us, but not heading toward us.  High straight line winds about to hit our area.
